We are seeking a strong Storyline Articulate Developer to partner with us in a continuing education e-learning development project.
Location
This is a remote position which requires working with two teams, one on the East coast and another on the West coast.
Contract
This position is for a 6-8-week contract with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Other Key Details
This resource must be willing to get fingerprinted (ink not digital) at a local center or arrange for a mobile fingerprinting resource to come to them. This resource cannot be a California resident.
Key Responsibilities
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials, studying design briefs, and determining requirements
Schedule projects and define budget constraints
Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
Illustrates concept by designing rough drafts of layout, art, and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
Develop requested illustrations, art, and copy using professional graphic design software tools
Obtains approval of concepts before proceeding to final drafts
Prepares finished copy, art, and final layouts based off feedback; ensures final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand; ensures final products have agreement from all stakeholders
Contributes to team effort and project by accomplishing related results as needed
Proficiency with Programs/Tools
Proficient with layers, triggers, states, and quizzing features in Storyline
Ability to program assets to appear on screen, timed with voiceover
Ability to add closed captioning to each slide, timed with voiceover
Design and create Storyline content to specified design standards when applicable
Editing capabilities (updating Storyline projects as deemed necessary from clients, project managers and creative directors)
Experience with Dropbox and GoogleDrive
HTML/HTML5 (and it’s behavior in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome)
Adobe PhotoShop CS5 or greater, Adobe Illustrator CS5 or greater, Photoshop, InDesign, Graphic file size optimization techniques
Experience uploading courses to a Learning Management System a Plus
Expertise
Knowledge of LMS communication standards such as SCORM, AICC, xAPI (Tin Can)
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Expertise in interactions and animations
Familiarity with Agile development
Experience working with a QA team
A strong working knowledge of interactivity
Creative approach to course design
Ability to make activities and interactions come to life
Ability to offer improvements and suggestions for functionality
Proven experience executing on detailed client specifications in Articulate Storyline
Education/Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field; Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement
Formal graphic design training and experience
2 years experience developing eLearning content using Articulate Storyline
Experience in concept development and UI design
Proven experience in the development of media-rich online learning solutions in Storyline
Create well designed and compositionally appealing slides quickly and efficiently
Collaborate closely with the established team developing eLearning coursework
1-2 years experience designing/storyboarding eLearning content a plus, but is not a requirement
Experience in course development and delivery is a plus, but not a requirement
